alright.. dudes and dudettes..u all noe the classical song called canon in D rite? anyways theres this song i watched months ago at a studio we were jamming in.. some taiwanese guitar-god called Jerry C was doing a rock version of Canon! it was awesome maN!! but i didnt bother learning it until a few days ago i saw the video again.. downloaded the song.. and tried to frggin’ learn it! HAHAHAHA it was hard alraedy ahhaha. eventhough i noe my fingers are good enough for uptempo classic pentatonic rock solos or santana-like solos.. I STIL COULDNT DO SOME PARTS! AHA. nowim still tryin to listen to it and hopefully learn EVERY part of that song.. i noe the two things im lacking of now.. its sweep picking and two-handed tapping. JESUS, those are pretty hard maN! jeez! anyways watchin some videos uploaded by some people inspired me cos if guys like them can do it, why can’t i? hehe. so yeah im very determined to learn the damn song. which is pretty awesome. O:) im just gonna practise and get used to the sweeping patterns first..

ANYYYWAYS there are realli annoying people who judge bands from just ONE song! HAHA. so sad lah.. i mean for example man.. one of my pals said the Red Hot Chili Peppers are boring cos of the song Zephyr song/Cant Stop or Californication! HAHA. So saddddd, cos they dont noe that the RHCP is one of the greatest FUNK bands ever! they should have listened to their older albums! like blood sugar sex magik, one hot minute and by the way.. Songs like My Lovely Man, Give it away,  Funky Monks, Naked In The Rain, Apache Rose Peacock, etc were REAAAAALLLLI HOT FUNKY SONGS. Anyways, to be honest i USED to be one of those people who do judge a band by just one popular song.. but i guess the only way to fully appreciate a band is to appreciate rock music first. haha. Hey, zephyr song is freakin hard to play if u aint good enuuf.. or uhh cant stop..

next..emm solos!!! haha maaann.. solos are the parts that i usually wait for when i listen to a new song! haha its my fave part! some are simple, some are fast, some are hard and some are easy! but then even the simplest solos can be freakin cool enough to make you wna feel like holdin ur geeetarrr and learn the solo! like a simple pentatonic scale can make a song super nice.. AC/DC’s Agnus Young and Guns and Roses’ Slash both use pentatonic soloing.. with added extra notes of course.. UNFORTUNATELY..at my level, i can only do pentatoni scales that are simple YET nice simple cos i usually go down a pattern using 2 notes per string then switch to a new one.. I WNA GET TO THE NEXT LEVEL BAHHH u noe ! like 3 notes! oh well. that’s all for now HEHE. just wanted to tell you all to listen to Canon In D (or simply Canon) by Jerry C.. also watch out for other guitarists(like Funtwo) who covered the song as well..
