Though perpetually lazy, I will have to blog about last night because its worth blogging! HAHA. Well first of all, my band played.. had another gig, and! THEOSSS CAAAAAAAME!

Woo! Man i was like so dowwwnnnnn when she said she had a test the next day.. But i understood so it was okayyy but still a bit down.. So the night came and i was just feeling a bit down that she couldnt come and be there. Anddd thennn I was looking outside and i saw this lady in black waving and smiling at me! Haha. So i was like "No it can’t be.." "WAIT I CAN BE!" and "ITS REALLY HER!"

HAHAAH so when i realized that it was my love who came after all.. ;).. i stood up and gave her a big big tight hug!! mmm! I so miss her! And after that i just enjoyed the fact that i was surrounded by my friends and theos

Ate for awile and then changed to my attire for the gig.. First band was bad cos they were out of tune like seriously. Then after them we playeddd! Haha. Gave them a starter song which was the jazz song we like to jam! A typical 2-5-1 progression in C i learnt from this boog i bought at doulos WITH BABE! but with A added in the end btw.

After the jazz, we started with our songs for the night and I hope the crowd loved our playing Oh and i asked mikko to dedicate this song called ‘every little thing’ to Theos! ^^ So i stopped and danced with her. All i see in her eyes are beautiful things coming soon I love you.

We also got to sing our original called driven to funk and footsteps! After our playing time, my mates disappeared so Theos and I went somewhere ^^ And when we came back nobody was inside anymore! SIGH. At least i enjoyed my gig and my night with babe. She so made my night a night to remember!..

Theos came home with Damian And after that Paths, Hanah and the band did some "photoshoot" and I felt so niiiiiice so i decided to pose as a gay boyband dude. HHGAHAHAHAHAHAA. Paths was so funny HAHAHAHA and hanah is so jacket-y =,=" Man i tell you, Paths is such a great company and Hanah is like a good… organization? HAHAHAHA. O:D Anyways they all went home after that and I also left Holiday Lodge around 12.30am and the last person there was Mikko.

Sigh got home and couldnt believe the night was over. Mmm I miss her! ^^;

And i miss Bryant, Mikko, Richmond, Mark Jay, Paths and Hanah too! HAHA!

So im off and ill blog if soemthing else surprises me or something nice or wat ka.. HEHE

Haha. Bryant is one dude who can’t sit still! hahaha. Man Im getting withdrawal symptoms from being away from his house since i went back home. hahaha. SYmptoms are extreme boredom and the feeling of getting a guitar and playing with the whammy bar. HAHA. Man thanks for the whammy lessons! I’ll practise more of that man.

I remember nights before the Battle of the Bands, I would jam at Richmond’s house and sessions there were pretty random.. We are so not focused at times! HAHA we’d stop and someone will play a riff/beat and we’d jam something else. HAHA. And those times i had to stay at bry’s house cos i had no transport and spend nights getting my butt slapped hard !(@*#&*(!@ and finish writing the song we’d be playing at the botb. Haha i must say the lyrics aren’t so bad.

I’d love to post the lyrics here but i guess ill post it together when i can get an audio of the song! It’s a funky song actually with the theme riffs and progressions made by Richmond! And arrangement done by the band. Lyrics by ..me and ideas by the whole band HAHA. Driven to Funk is the title.

Hmm if there’s one thing i’d love to do now… IT’S TO FINISH MY EXAM! YEAHHHHH!!! I was doing my paper just now on add. maths and DOHHHHH it was hard! I was spending like 15 mins on a question which in other words meant that I was screwed and i did not know wat i was getting myself into. Puff man! (means gay btw)

Can’t wait for hols so i can hangout more with Theodora =) but she has exams =/ It’s all good. There’s time in between i guess. oh and like hangout with Paths and everyone else.. Oh and that HANAH! Sheesh. Bloody hell she’s so good in swearing now! *tears* So proud of my minion. LOL. HAHA.

I miss Theodora Frances Ang! =D Get well soooon, babe! Everyone misses you and you know that! I love you!

I am, amazingly, blogging right now because I have participated in an event that I’ve been dreaming since I’ve started playing.. That is to battle in a competition! So last night, 9th November, we competed at the ISB Battle of the Bands 2007! It was pretty big until the tickets were sold out and some friends weren’t allowed to come in anymore!

On the day itself, I went home early morning from Byant’s place and returned around 2pm to get some vocals rite. And by 3.45pm a dude named Jason picked us up and sent us to ISB where we did our sound checks. During the sound check my sound pretty much SUCKED cos it was TOO SHARP! And honestly, that is NOT my sound.. I like my sound with more middle and a bit of bass with the treble around 4. So we checked stuff and realized that it was my pedal that doing it. AHH damn I gotta get a new pedal. OH well!

After sound check we went to a small "restaurant" which SImon says has "the best Mee Goreng" around. We ate and went back to ISB.. Saw some familiar faces and FRIENDS!

Before the event started there was a pretty long line and then boom ticket finished and angry ppl and lotsa !(@&#(@! and runing here n there ESPECIALLY BRYANT cos the girl he’s been expecting wasnt allowed to go in so yeah.

4 bands played before our show started.. 2 competing bands and 2 guess bands.. THEN IT WAS OUR TURN. MAN. Around 9ish (I dont know wat time it was cos i was so nervous and in a hurry) we started our setup.. WHICH WAS RUSHED and I DONT NOE WHY WE HAD TO! hAHHAHA to excited maybe. we had 5 or 10 mins to do that and we did it in less then 4 mins haha. Which resulted in my sound getting a high gain and sharp sound and unbalanced volumes which was in my opinion not very professional. So u can imagine all of us adjusting our sounds DURING the performance of the first song HAHA. well i changed my pedal btw and after lotsa adjusting… STILL NO USE. HAHA. Oh well u just gotta play and do ur thing.

We played Foxey Lady, Girl All The Bad Guys Want and Driven to Funk! The vocals were barely audible but hell.. we let the guitar do the singing. Hahaha. Lotsa two hand tapping, shreds and solos got us, MAYBE, the crowd’s attention. I waas pretty much high on moshpit energy cos i was going nuts. I am honoured to have played Hamish’s Gibson Les Paul with the gold finish and Bryant’s Ibanez JEM7V! Love the gold there haha! Those two guys are one of the nicest ppl I know who are also VERY awesome on the strings!

In the end The Snakes played during the voting and they were very very good! Especially the singer who, I think, is inspired by Steven Tyler because he has a bandana around and even tied it to the mic stand.

So the voting started and the band and I were pretty much having fun kicking each other’s balls, bullying Bridgette, smacking asses, me buying donuts and me buying donuts again. AND THEN..

.. Munah announced the awards and Best Vocals came first and Stealing Seconds won the award which I think they pretty much deserved. Then! Hahaha this is when everything became a blurr because Best Guitarist was announced and as soon as we heard SEVEN we CHEERED and Richmond and I went on stage and collected our award! And then on stage the Best Bassist was awarded to us too! and Bryant went on stage and THEN Best Drummer was awarded to US again which was given to RAYMOND! HAHA. And things happened so fast that in the end we were all on stage and I couldnt get off the stage cos i dint noe what was happening.. Until i realised we won 2nd place! WHICH WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR US! then Best Band was won by Stealing Seconds. OH well. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE VOTERS ESPECIALLY TO MY PALS, Ryan, Igz, Albert, Mart and Harold from Bengkurong who were there for the support and to Paul too who waited till he got in! THanks man for coming! And to the ever supportive Paths, Mikko and Hanah! WOO!

HAHA then! We split the money and were very happy we won 2nd place considering that our last song was almost like an instrumental cos the vocals were not very audible hahahahha!

WOOO! 7 Minutes Of Fame! Coming to get ya! HAHAHA.
